I found a use for my ruffler. I made a ruffle. And it looks very ruffled. 🙂
It’s actually the perfect way to edge a quilt I’m working on and I’m very happy with how it turned out. It looks great. I’m also considering myself very lucky that I guesstimated on how much fabric I would need to make a ruffle that long perfectly. I actually thought I’d have a bit left over. And then as I was pinning it around the edge I was so afraid I wouldn’t have enough. But it ended up being exactly the length I needed.
The ruffler is a very odd looking attachment for a sewing machine. It looks like some primative torture device, and sounds a bit like one too. But it makes very lovely ruffles.
