I love running. It’s so freeing. It’s you and the world, and not much else.
It’s been more than ten years since I bought new running clothes. In honor of running a marathon to turn 30, I decided I deserved some new clothes.
I will be running the marathon in this outfit. And I love it. It’s so comfy and light and soft. And it’s pretty too. It’s the perfect outfit to turn 30 and die running 26.2 miles in. Shirt in blue and shorts in dark blue from Saucony. It seems a bit strange to spend that much money for that little amount of clothing, but it’s worth it. It’ll be great.
I called my mom when I left the running store to tell them about my new stuff. Dad got on the computer to look up what it was I was going to look like. So now he knows.
I also realized I need to be able to carry more water with me than I currently can. So I bought a Amphipod RunLite 4. Now hopefully I won’t dry up and die while I’m training. And trying to say “water bottle belt” can tie up the tongue a bit too.
I must also mention that I went to Fleet Feet Tucson to do my shopping. They were very helpful. Sometimes I just really like specialty stores where the people that work there know what they are doing. It’s like going to a fabric store where the people helping you do a lot of sewing. Or going to a knitting store where the people who work there knit and crochet a lot. It makes a difference.
