I got side tracked by knitting needles this last week.
First I made an elephant.
Then I finished a bunny I did the body for back at Easter. (The grey one, I finished the black ones at Easter.)
Then I made a moon.
Then I made Brett a computer because he’s awesome. (And because I was knitting a lot of grey things.)
And now I made myself a boat.
I think next up is an island for the boat. Then I’ll be all set for my tropical vacation on my desk.
All patterns from the new school book I bought (except the bunny, but it comes from the same designer). Knitting is a great thing to do when you are convalescing.
How cute. :lisa:
I am very impressed with your skills. I used to knit a lot but I’ll bet I couldn’t do what you are doing.
I think part of me thinks the techniques are hard. But the other part of me has no idea. So I just do them. And the projects are real quick so they are great for practicing new skills.
I remember reading once about a quilter whose first quilt was a drunkards path (which is almost all curved seams). Nobody had told her that curved seams were difficult (I’ve never made a quilt with curved seams), so she didn’t find them difficult. Maybe that’s why it’s so much easier to learn when we are little and unafraid.
I envision a day when mochimochi will conquer humanity, take over the world, and replace our society with a much tinier one. :brett:
Yea! We’ll start with our house. :lisa:
I love the waves that go with the boat. I think I could make waves. :p
The waves are a lace washcloth that wasn’t working so I pulled it out. And the yarn is all wrinkly like that still. It was perfect for waves for the picture.
