From this morning:
From 42 years ago yesterday (landing on the moon) and today (walking on the moon):
From 50 years ago this May with Alan Shephard:
We choose to go to the moon. We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things, not only because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win, and the others, too.
– John F. Kennedy, Rice Stadium, 12 September 1962
So many small steps over 50 years. May we never stop dreaming, never stop exploring, both as a people and as individuals. We dream, not because it is easy, but because it is hard, because of all the things we will do along the way to get to that dream.
It’s taking too many small steps to get the house painted. I finially have the bathroom and hall taped off. I just wish I could get everything done in one giant leap for mankind. :silly:
It is rather sad to see the program end. What wonderful accomplishments have happened because of this program.
