Our Christmas decorations are still up. But that’s because it’s still the Christmas season. The 12 days of Christmas do not end on December 25th, they start on December 25th. And the Christmas season then includes the 12 days until January 5th (Twelfth Night) leading up to Epiphany on January 6th, the day the Three Kings arrived (following Western tradition). I figure if some radio stations can play Christmas music starting on November 1st and going all the way through the end of December, I can leave my Christmas decorations up till the end of the Christmas season.
Tomorrow morning I’ll turn our house back from Christmas to normal. It’s been a good Christmas season. Full of family, friends, love, and good times. And we’re just going to ignore the fact that we got sick shortly after Christmas and gladly celebrated the Festival of Sleep on the 3rd by sleeping more than we’d like to admit.
What was your favorite part of Christmas this year?
That is the excuse I gave myself as well. I don’t like when Christmas ends, so I’ll find every reason to listen to music and enjoy the decor until … well … tomorrow 🙂
I have one box packed, does that count?? Only 22 more to go.
4 more packed and put away. We’ll see what this week brings.
As your true love, I feel that today is the day that it becomes my duty to give to you thirteen penguins marching. If they don’t sell those at Walgreen’s, I think you’re out of luck though. :brett:
And here’s for you, my love:

Is it OK if they sleep on your side of the bed? I’m allergic. :brett:
Darn it all. There goes my idea for the 14th day. 😉
