There are several labels you could use to describe me. I am a woman. I am a wife. I am a graduate student. I am a sister, daughter, aunt. I am a runner. I am a quilter. I am a Mormon. I am a reader. I am all those things and more. And yet not a single one of them completely encompasses who I am. To truly know me you need to know as many of my labels as you can. And to make things even more complicated, you need to know how I identify with those labels and what they mean to me. Which can make you wonder, can you ever really know some one?
I could go on and on about each of those labels. And perhaps I will someday. And it’s likely that if you searched the archives here you’d find a lot about them as well (a lot of my blog categories are related to those labels). For now, since it’s a holiday, and I want to spend time with family, I’m just going to leave you with a real cute Sesame Street video.
What I am is special. 🙂

I am an educator and PhD. I quilt, belly dance, run, read, and try to grow things. I am a Mormon. I am infertile. I am a daughter, sister, aunt, grand-daughter, friend, wife, and mom.
