I am super excited. :owl:
Tonight two friends are joining me for the opening of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1 at midnight. We are meeting for dinner and to watch the sixth movie before heading over to the theater. I should make more pumpkin muffins for dessert. Brett will be with us for dinner but since he is not a night person he’s going to bed when we go to the theater and then he and I will go watch it at a more normal time. I’m still trying to decide what I’ll be wearing to the show tonight. I reread the book last month (I read one of my new British editions) and I’ve been watching the other movies and I’m ready.
I’ll edit this to add photos tomorrow.
(I’m mid-smile and it’s 2:30 am. But the movie was AWESOME!)
Yay!! I have a ticket to a normal time tomorrow night with friends. I’m excited too!
A short review and some few thoughts.
It is an awesome movie!!
It is NOT a kid’s movie!!
The people who are going to have the most trouble with the movie are the people who think they should take their 8 year-old to this movie. They should not. The book was not even appropriate for kids that age really. The characters are basically adults. They have adult thoughts and feelings. The war is brutal and tragic. And the snake is insanely scary.
The feelings, emotions, and depths of the movie are incredible. It’s both fulfilling and leaves you wanting more at the same time. I’m excited to see it again and notice even more in it. And I’m excited for the finale next summer.
Also, glow-in-the-dark finger nail polish is kind of supernatural at 3am when the house is dark.
You have short friends.
:tractor:
We just got back from the movie. Dad and I loved it. And you are right, it’s not a kids movie, so why were there all these little toddlers and children there.
I was wearing my boots last night which give me at least three more inches.
