There is an entry in the class catalogue for the second summer term that looks like this:
See that name on the right? That’s my name. I’m teaching this class. WOW!
I’ve been grading for this class during the last school year. Part of that included guest lecturing a few times. On one of those times I was observed, the next day they offered me the position of teaching it during the summer. Apparently they thought I knew what I was talking about that day. A few weeks later they also asked me to teach it during next Spring semester starting in January. They must really think I know what I’m talking about.
So starting today I get to try and teach a whole semester’s worth of information in just 23 days. Should be quite the whirlwind.
So if I’m a bit sparse or scattered over the next few weeks, you’ll know why. (I already went to church yesterday wearing one black shoe and one brown shoe. They are the same style so I didn’t notice till the last hour.) Hopefully my fourteen students will be nice.
good job on knowing stuff. you sound smart.
I think you’ll do great! I would certainly forgive you for wearing two different shoes.
They complimented me on the fact that not only did my shoes match today, but my socks matched and were a real cool argyle. And I had a whole color scheme matching thing going on.
We also had a real good discussion about development and Vygotsky. Because that’s what we were actually there to discuss. My socks were just an extra bonus.

Some quick thoughts | Wedding Fairy Posse
As of half-way through class yesterday, we’re half-way through the class. Weird!
According to our schedule for the class I have 7 more teaching days and 3 more test days. (There is a test at the end of every week, so one this Friday, one next Friday, and then the last week is only three days long.)
This has gone by real fast, but I’m loving it.
