A while back, a segment on NPR asked people to call in and tell who their sidekicks in life were, the person who was always there with them on their adventures or when they got in trouble.
I’ve been wondering who my sidekick might be. Who rides around in the sidecar to my motorcycle of life? Alternately, who’s sidecar am I riding around in? And yes, all involved are wearing safety helmets.
I don’t know that I have one specific sidekick yet. My dad is my running sidekick. My mom often goes with me on fabric and sewing adventures, more by cell phone now than otherwise. I have a few close friends who have been my “partner in crime” in other areas.
So, who are your sidekicks?
Oliver the Car Bear. Sometimes my sister. Sometimes the niblings. Sometimes a kitty. Sometimes you, Amanda, Julie, Emily, Tony, Ash, or Showgren. Sometimes my dad. Sometimes my mom. It works for me. 🙂
You say sidekick, I say partner in crime. 🙂
I’ll be thinking about this question.
That is a good question. I would have to say that it varies depending on the situation and the time in my life. But it is nice to feel that I have “cheerleaders” traveling with me on the road of life.
