Liberty

There are those who might say that because I follow the rules and commandments of my religion, that my life is limited. But it is by following those rules and commandments that I actually have true liberty. I’m free from hangovers. I’m free from drug addictions. Every time I see one of those STD commercials I’m reminded that I’m free from ever needing those.

I’m also free to learn all that I can. I’m free to study and grow and travel. I’m free to try new things. I’m free to question and find answers. I’m free to be the best person that I can be without having to worry about being held back by bad consequences of what I do.

Just as a kite needs a tail and a string if it is going to really fly, rules and commandments are my tail and string that let me fly to some amazing heights!
