It feels like I am camping in my own house. It’s below freezing and snowing outside. So I think camping inside is a good idea right now. I have my sleeping bag on an air mattress in my bedroom. The only thing to sit on, other than the floor, is a camp chair I pulled out of my trunk. And the last two nights I’ve had stars above me while I slept too, but those are coming down right now. Next time I move I need to remember to take down the stars before I pack away all my chairs. I’ve actually been quite comfortable on the air mattress. I was a bit worried about that. I get to camp like this for two more nights, and then we’ll have to make sure the bed is one of the first things to get unpacked.
Today I have been running around and making phone calls and getting all of my errands run that needed to be taken care of during business hours. There were a lot of them. But they are all done now. The only thing left is cleaning and returning the books I’ve borrowed from various people. One of my errands was to pay a fine at the library. It’s from the Summer of 2006, and came to a total of 50 cents, but I wanted to make sure I paid it before I left. The librarian thought I was funny. I don’t want to be haunted by that 50 cents.
I’m not sure when I’ll get internet set up in my new place. So for a while the blog might be all I will be updating.
