I could very easily ask so many whys about the shooting at Virginia Tech yesterday. I could ask whys about why he did it. I could ask whys about what was done about it. I could ask whys about policies and procedures and laws. I could sit back and analyze what could have been done that morning, the week before, the semester earlier, or even years previously, the way some people are doing, thinking that some how they would’ve done something differently that would have prevented this.
But I don’t want to ask why. I don’t want to know why. Things like this always hit very close to home for me. So rather than ask why, I would rather respectfully mourn those who lost their lives, those who lost loved ones, and those who lost some of their innocence.
