I am requesting that everyone cross their fingers that the run-away crack on my windshield will continue to angle down rather than across my windshield. I can’t stop the crack now, but if it goes down I won’t have to replace the windshield until the next time my car needs a safety inspection.

Even if the crack DOES angle back up, you’re pretty safe waiting until next inspection to get it fixed anyway. I had a crack in my windshield for almost a year once. There was a small crack, and two days after it passed inspection, it suddenly ran all the way across. Good thing, because back then, we couldn’t afford new windshields.
*crossing fingers for you* I hate those windshield cracks!
Though, it was kinda cool in that sinking feeling way last winter when I sat in a parking lot and watched the crack in my windshield work its way across the car. It literally went from about two inches to five feet in under three minutes. D’oh!
