It’s official. I don’t ever want to be murdered and left in the woods or thrown into the water. I don’t want maggots or star fish or crows or rats or anything else eating me like on the PBS Nature show I’m watching.
Apparently you can learn a lot about when and how a person died by studying the maggots. How, and why, would someone want to study that and get into that field? They use dead pigs mostly to study it because they decompose a lot like we do. But one university has people lined up to donate their bodies, when they die, to the “body farm” where they study the decomposition of people bodies. Ick. No. Not for me.
Why am I still watching this?
I for one desire to have science discover from my maggot-infested corpse how and when I died, since of my own accord I will likely have no previous knowledge of the circumstances of said departure.
