The Utah legislature is again considering school vouchers. Apparently the fact that it hasn’t passed the last five years makes them think it will this time for some reason.
What vouchers say to me is this:
We know Utah schools suck. We have this money we get from every single parent in the state. Rather than giving this money to public schools so it can benefit the children of each of those parents, lets give it to a select few parents so they can give their kids a good education and to hell with the rest of them.
Throwing money at a problem won’t make it better, but taking money away from this problem isn’t going to make it better either.
