Yesterday hurt. I spent the morning at the auto mechanic. My car had to be jumped start so I could get home on Wednesday, and since I was going to be needing an oil change real soon, I decided to just go get the whole thing looked at. I thought it might just be something simple with the battery. But the battery was fine. That meant it must be the alternator. And that isn’t simple, or cheap. Luckily, I have a good mechanic and instead of costing $600, it only cost me $400. That still hits into my tax refund a bit hard. But the alternator now has a life time warranty. So I won’t have to do that again.
I spent the afternoon in physical therapy for my ankle. It has now been seven weeks since I sprained it, and I still could barely move my ankle, and the movement I had hurt. So the therapist decided to try something new to break up the scar tissue that is probably keeping my foot from healing. The way I think of it, they resprained my ankle so that now it will heal correctly. That HURT!! From about mid-calf down through my foot was beat up. My ankle still hurts, especially if anything touches it. The rest of it just feels a bit strange. But – I can move my foot again. They are going to do it again on Monday. I’m not looking forward to that, but if it gets me back to normal, I guess we’ll do it. Watching the Olympics always makes me want to get out and exercise more, and I haven’t been able to do that because of my ankle.
