I love vacations, but they cause so many problems. The first day back after a nice long vacation, long being anything over three days, is always so hard. The last thing I want to do in the morning is get up for work. Of course it doesn’t help any that I am most assuredly not a morning person. My body clock is set for several time zones away. And it doesn’t matter if it is a morning after a vacation or not, getting up is hard.
But the last night of a break is always so depressing. It never seems like I got everything done that I had planned, including getting all of the rest I wanted to get.
So maybe the solution would be to never have any vacations. We could all just work for the rest of our lives. And we’d all very quickly go insane as well. So that can’t be the solution then. Without the vacations I get, I would most assuredly go crazy. I love my job. I have so much fun teaching. I get paid to play. But if I couldn’t look forward to summer vacation every year… Well, let’s just not think about that, okay?
Don’t worry, in less than two weeks I’m going to meet you, and, after an obligatory getting-to-know-you phase, marry you and allow you to move into my house which is in a much more agreeable time zone (at least for part of the year). If I’m reading the tea leaves correctly, you will probably even start going to bed at a decent time, and that will also help with the chronic fatigue. :brett:
And this, my dear, is why I married you. Plus the whole beemer thing. ๐ :lisa:
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmwah! :lisa:  :brett:
You two, are really too funny. ๐
Did you know that “Beemer” can mean both BMW and IBM employee? Brett is a double beemer!
Wow, I did not know that. But is is good to know, and now I will sleep better tonight when I finially get into bed. :tractor: ๐
